TPLO & TTA Certification
Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture is one of the most common injuries seen in companion animals today. This injury requires timely surgical repair to bring the patient back to normal limb function and to avoid debilitating arthritis.
Currently, two innovative procedures are being offered that stabilizes the canine stifle (knee).
The first,
TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) realigns the tibial plateau to neutralize slipping, shear forces in the stifle.
The second,
TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) eliminates these same shear forces by moving or advancing the tibial tuberosity.
Both procedures have shown a very high success rate and allows our practice to provide state of the art surgical care for your pet.
